PLAYBOOK

Pre-Site Visit Work:  Specifically identify healthcare organizations with a strong foundation and  potential.  Set agreed-upon annual targets to achieve based on historical trends and future strategic plans.

2.

Investigatory Phase (Months 1-4): Gather intel, compare to national benchmarks, identify opportunities, build relationships and make recommendations to decision-makers to set the course.

3.

Buy-in & Build The Plan (Months 3-6):  Set priorities, get resources aligned, build leadership engagement (communicate the "why") and create the path to success.

4.

Execute The Plan (Months 4-24):  Implement initiatives, coach change management, ensure buy-in and realize opportunities identified.  Savings begin to accrue! 

5.

Check Progress (Months 12-36):  Evaluate opportunities realized, perform actual vs realized savings analysis and adjust course as necessary.  Keep the momentum strong!

6.

Maximize Benefits (Months 36+):  Continue to evaluate opportunities for full term of contract cycle and ensure partnership is strong.  Ensure all stones are turned over so benefits are maximized.

7.

Finish Well (Months 60+):  Ensure initiatives are sustainable and leadership is capable of maintaining value initiatives.
